About

A fast-casual restaurant franchise in the United States called Zaxby’s serves chicken wings, chicken fingers, salads, and sandwiches. The business, which comprises over 900 outlets, is largely located in the southern United States. 123 Zaxby’s restaurants are owned by the Zaxby business, while the majority are operated by franchisees.

It all began in 1990 in Statesboro, Georgia. Zach McLeroy and Tony Townley, boyhood friends who founded Zaxby’s, set out to serve only the best food in a fun setting when they launched the first Zaxby’s, which they originally called ZAX. As one of the first upscale fast-food restaurants, the idea was a breakthrough. Zach and Tony made the decision to franchise the company in 1994. They established their main office in Athens, Georgia, and started catering to more than just our ravenous customers. To grow Zaxby’s brand, they created a franchisee network of business owners.

Zaxby’s established its brand image through delicious meals and unique flavours. The brand begins with premium components, such as 100% whole white flesh chicken. Everything from hand-breading chicken to slicing fresh vegetables is professionally handled with precision. And the brand does not begin preparing the food until the customer places an order.

The brand is also a proponent of CSR. Zaxby’s brands itself as “the official chicken of sports fans” and is a prominent supporter of varsity basketball and football. Zaxby’s supports Make-A-Wish in honour of the kids the restaurant brand supports annually.
